More choice, so compare on paper first
When you search for luxury rehab in Palm Beach County, West Palm Beach comes up again and again. Several private centers are based here, from programs aimed at executives to ones that call themselves holistic. That gives you something families in smaller towns rarely have: the chance to compare a few centers on the same questions, in the same week.
The hard part is that the websites sound alike. Words like “luxury”, “private” and “evidence-based” appear on nearly all of them. They describe style, not the quality of clinical care.
A simple fix is to build a one-page comparison before you tour. Give each center its own column and ask each one the same questions. The gaps show up quickly.
A comparison sheet you can use
Ask every center for the items below, and note who answered and on what date.
- DCF license number and the levels of care it covers
- Accreditation, and the name of the accrediting body
- Who prescribes medication, and how often a psychiatrist sees each client
- Hours of one-on-one therapy each week, not just group hours
- What the family program includes, and whether it costs extra
- A written price that says what is and is not included
- The aftercare plan, and who sets it up
Then check what you can yourself. Licenses are on the Florida DCF licensing page. For accreditation, see our guide to Joint Commission and CARF. For money questions, start with private pay vs insurance.

West Palm Beach questions
Should we tour West Palm Beach centers in person?
If you can, yes. A visit shows you the rooms, but more importantly it lets you meet the clinical director and ask your comparison questions face to face. If you cannot travel, ask for a video tour and a call with a clinician, not only with admissions staff.
What should an executive program include?
Look for set times for limited work contact, clear privacy rules for phones and visitors, and the same clinical care every other client gets. A desk and fast Wi-Fi are not treatment. Our executive rehab page has a fuller list.
What happens after a 30-day stay?
Some people step down to a day program or outpatient care, some move into a recovery residence, and some go home with therapy already booked. Ask each center what its usual next step is and who arranges it. Our guide to luxury sober living covers one common path.
How do I know who I am speaking with when I call?
Ask plainly: which center am I speaking with, and where is it? Florida’s marketing law, section 397.55, requires marketers that generate leads for treatment providers to disclose which providers they represent. If a caller will not tell you, hang up and call the center directly from its own website.
